We arrived at the house and everything REEKED OF DOG PEE. We went room to room and noticed a dog had peed on just about every single rug it was DISGUSTING! We contacted them and the next day The company offered to have the house cleaned AGAIN and sent over the same ladies who failed to clean it correctly the first time. They advised me that "the prior guest was a 2 week stay with a dog (who apparently peed all over) and they spent over 4 hours in the home trying their best to remedy what they could on the Sunday turn after the guest checked out to make it as ready as possible for you. The rolled up rugs in the kitchen was accidentally left behind by the inspector, who was absolutely mortified she forgot it when we asked her about it." (Rugs that were covered in pee and also left other rugs around the home with pee on them) They also sent over a maintenance person to clear out the COMPLETELY unusable fenced in dog area that was covered in weeds and pickers. Also almost every fence post is worn/unnailed and the dogs push them aside and can go in and out. (So not fenced in) LASTLY when I asked them what the owner said regarding compensation they stated they can only reimburse me $470 which is ONE nights stay. We had cockroaches and an infestation of ants because none of the windows or doors seal. I went back and looked at the photos online that I looked at before renting the house. THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NOW. It seems they used photos from years ago when someone actually took care of the house and still promoted the house as being updated 2024.

We rented 2342-1 New River Inlet Road for the first week of August. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. The sliding glass door leaked during the rain as well as two of the windows. Mold was growing in the sliding glass door track and there were water stains and signs of damage on the ceiling. The living room floor was buckled and separating because when the sliding glass door track filled with water it spilled over into the living room floor. We complained multiple times with no resolution. We had to leave after three days because our daughter is allergic to mold and got sick. The photos of the home must have been taken years ago because it is not what access realty portrays it to be. They admitted that they were aware of the leaks but acted baffled that we are upset after giving them over four thousand dollars to rent a structure full of mold, and mildew. Someone from their office did reach out regarding a partial refund but it has been almost a week and we haven't heard back from them. Customer service is NOT their forte. Please don't make the same mistake we did. Vacations are meant to be fun, not frustrating

AVOID this company and their rentals. They misrepresent their listing's by showing nice photos and ONLY the good reviews. We rented 2342-1 New River Inlet Road and arrived to find that we had spent our hard earned money on a home that had leaking windows and doors, mold growing in it, stained furniture, buckled and separated floors, wet ceiling with water stains, and soft spots in the floor. It was pathetic and we had to leave after our 3rd night because my daughter is allergic to mold and ended up getting sick. I will post on any platform available to keep anyone else from dealing with this company or their nasty rentals.

We just got home from a vacation on Topsail Island having rented our condo through Access Realty. It was a very unpleasant and disappointing condo. Our rental was Villa Capriani 218A "Gone Coastal" Positives: great location with good ocean views; condo complex had great pools for our 4 year-old; on-site laundry Negatives: just about everything else including some serious mold issues 1. I definitely do not recommend this company for renters coming out of town. The rental agreement made it clear that checkin starts at 4pm but is not guaranteed at 4. Ok. Fine. We can work around that, but we had in mind that not "at 4" would be around 4-5pm. Via text they said it could be as late as 6pm. That's... really late after a very long day of travel. 2. We paid extra to have them provide linens, but it was only when we had the checkin go-ahead that we were told linens would arrive between 4 and 9pm! We were lucky and they were in the condo, but there was some definite frustration and fear that our 4 year-old who's travelled 9 hours to get to the condo won't have a bed to sleep in. In addition the kitchen linens were one washcloth and one very thin dishtowel. For 7 days of cooking and cleaning. Who needs that kind of annoyance and hassle! 2. The building itself was built in 1988. The plumbing is out-of-date and needs repairs. How do I know that? Because a water main had a problem and flooded our condo. The main bedroom hallway was then a wet-carpet swamp for 4 days. When the building maintenance came to do repairs, they had to cut open the ceiling. The maintenance issues are the building's issues and not Access Realty. However when I contacted Access Realty about the building issues, they said "thanks for the photos" but didn't offer any recourse or compensation. ~4/7 days of our week's vacation were frustrating and disrupted and Access did nothing to make that right by us. 3. The pictures on the website make the condo look up to date, but that's mostly a partial remodel and newer furnishings. The bathroom fixtures are dated. The appliances are dated. And then there's the mold. 4. Given the plumbing issues, it's not surprising the condo has a mold issue, but damn. We were all coughing, headachy, and unhappy. I'll post pictures. It's not just the plumbing. Basically all the bathroom fixtures have serious mold buildup, including the toilet. All in all, the condo issues made the entire vacation stressful. Not what you want when you go to the beach.

We have been staying at a seasonal rental and Kelli K. has, from the start gone above and beyond. She helpful and has gone out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. JD in maintenance is attentive, communicative and present when an issue comes up. Honestly, such a lovely experience. The house is beyond perfect and was stocked with everything you could need in terms of cleaning supplies, trash bags, coffee filters, everything! The photo is just steps away from our rental.

Just moved into a long term rental 4 days ago. If I could give a zero I would. This entire experience was a disaster. The office was not very informative as we neared the move in date, the lack of communication was terrible. Was also informed of the things that would be completed prior to move in which was NOT done. WE had to pay out of our pockets for our carpets to be cleaned but yet we were told they were "professionally" cleaned prior to move in and floors would be fixed. This was all discussed when we went to look at the home as a potential rental. Kitchen floor was replaced but the subfloor is sinking and still soft due to where the renters before us either had pets or a leak of some sort. Ceiling fans supposed to be replaced prior to move in and a number of other things. Over all this was a terrible experience and I would not recommend renting a short term or long term from this company. Picture of carpets upon us moving in that were supposedly cleaned by professional's as well as a picture after WE paid for them to get cleaned.
