Folly's Best Rentals

Very nice condo. Fit our rather large party nicely!! Right across the street from the beach and pier with super easy access! Right in the heart of the downtown with all of the restaurants within easy walking distance. Condo was clean and well kept! Even got a follow-up visit from the rental agency to make sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again!

This is our 3rd time staying at the Beach Hive. It never disappoints. The location is perfect. The house and the garden are gorgeous. The new renovations they’ve done only improve the space. We love it! Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely beautiful view of the river from the porch! We saw many dolphins in the river during our stay. Clean & comfortable inside. The beach chair and boogie board were a big plus for our time on the beach! Extremely responsive host. Hose nearby to wash off the sand was great. Love the location, very close to downtown Folly. We would definitely stay again.

Wow! THE BEST beach vacation ever! We have been to AIRBNB’s on the West Coast and East Coast and this was our favorite. Location, location, location. Walked to all great food and the the VIEW! Wow! So clean and so comfortable. Management was amazing! Had a question and response was immediate. Bed was so comfortable and the bag of goodies had everything we needed. The view was amazing! So peaceful and perfect. A++++ Thank you to the Folly’sBest lady that gave our pup a treat. We will be back soon.

We have stayed in two of the twelve individually-owned units in this building at Folly Beach, managed by Folly’s Best Rentals. Both do not present as pictured. Obviously photoshopped. Old ugly appliances, old scarred floors, old scratched up furniture, dirty walls, tiny rooms. Not well cared for. We have chosen this location because we like the covered porches and seating facing the ocean and they allow pets. The biggest convenience and pleasure for us is sitting in the shade with our dogs on the porch and looking out at the ocean. We like the natural, duned setting. But the 1-D Ful unit on Arctic Avenue we stayed in this time is just totally uncomfortable and icky. We arrived yesterday to find that the City of Folly Beach is “re-nourishing” the beach from one end to the other all summer long. This week, our week, the multiple bulldozers, orange netting, and caution signs are the main attraction in front of our ocean horizon view. They are pumping water in and moving mud 24-7. Literally through the night. All the other tenants who have arrived were as shocked and disappointed as we were. The office at Folly’s Best Rentals just says they pointed out the “re-nourishing” project in the lease agreement. Well, I guess we all have been pretty naive. At any rate, here we sit, in squalor and mud. I will never. Never stay in Folly Beach again. What an inconsiderate thing to do to their patrons. Plus, Folly’s Best Rentals should have written us all personal emails going into detail as to the extent of this project and how horrifically it would affect our $3000+ vacations. So far they are ignoring requests for financial compensation. The building next to us is managed by Vacasa and Vacasa is reimbursing those tenants 25%. No response from Folly’s “Best.” They also will not allow my honest review on the review section of the 1-D Ful unit we stayed in on Arctic Avenue.

The Beach Hive was a wonderful place for a beach vacation. It's on Folly beach, just steps away from the beach and ocean front. It is a quaint, quiet location with a lovely, private courtyard that beckons for morning coffee and reflecfion. I love that there was a half bath in the living room and a full bath adjoining the two bedrooms. Each room was cozy and well appointed, making for a restful sleep. I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning!

Listen, if you cannot be extremely pleased with this place smack on the beach and in a beautiful home with very nice people all around you, you will not be pleased at all. Incredible place for us to decompress after the rush of holiday business! Added perks; watching the surfers, dolphins very close to the beach, a great storm, shells everywhere, oh let me see...being steps from the beach, incredible sunrises and sunsets, the lighthouse, Folly's Shorebirds Graffiti Road, wonderful places to eat, Bert's Market and an incredibly comfortable bed (or 4) with a view of the Ocean when you open your eyes!!! Our stay in Folly Beach was absolutely beautiful, the home was comforting and cozy. We decided to check in a little early and the response time was immediate! Both of the balcony’s created an amazing gathering space to relax and chat with our friends, with the ocean as a backdrop 😍 10/10 would recommend and stay in this exact home again! I don't know if we've could've found a better house. If you go straight down 8th 2 blocks the house is in line with a public beach access. Fenced in backyard. House looks just like the pictures. House is very nice and clean. It's a really cozy little place. It's 8 blocks away from all the big hotels and such in down town folly but it's still really easy to get too. We loved our week down there and can't wait to go back!!

Overall our dealings with Folly's Best Rentals was a positive experience however we were surprised by a phone call we received a few hours after we checked out of the property that we were being assessed a $200 additional cleaning fee on top of the $215 cleaning fee and $350 non-refundable pet fee. We were very careful and cleaned the apartment every day to stay on top of the dog hair. We were sent pictures of the "excessive" dog hair that the housekeeping staff made claims about and it was actually pictures of dog hair that had clearly been swept into piles. We later learned that this was a "request" not an assessed or required fee. The staff said that they are "required to ask" for the additional housekeeping costs but that we did not have to pay the $200. I appreciate the fact that they did not press the issue since it was completely unwarranted but I think future renters should be aware of this policy because it seems like the property managers' cleaning crew is trying to scam people with these unsubstantiated and unwarranted fees. I will say that when I voiced my issue with what I thought was a required fee the office manager immediately explained that it was not required and apologized. I also thought it was a weird coincidence that the additional $200 for cleaning was almost the exact amount of the optional "damage protection fee" that we opted out of.

Four girl friends and I took a last minute trip to Folly for a long weekend, and we stayed in Folly's Best house, "It's Time to Boogie Down." Though we paid a little more than the original budget we set for ourselves (last minute booking will do that to you), we are so happy we spent a little more to get Boogie Down for the two nights! It was a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the ease of access to the beach, the manageable walk to stores/restaurants, and the relaxation the porch of the house offered. We had no issues while booking, using the house or checking out. We will likely return.

Any issues or problems were taken care of immediately. Beach access was almost directly across the street. Great location, great beach, and Folly?s Best is a great company to work with.

Some girl friends and I stayed at this condo for a bachelorette weekend. The condo was beautifully decorated and in a great location. We loved the balcony, especially the couch swing. We also loved that the condo was pet friendly, and we were able to bring our two, well-behaved dogs. Checking in and out was easy, and having a door code instead of a traditional key was great. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone that wants to stay on the beach in Folly.

Absolutely love staying with Folly's Best. Their customer service is top notch. They always have the top pick of the rentals in my opinion. Looking forward to our 7th stay this New Years.
