rented Lagerhouse for Christmas week 2023 that was approximately $3500. It has a pool, but not heated. I spoke to the office multiple times prior & face to face the day of making sure it had what we needed as we were having family for holiday dinners. We were traveling for 4 days prior so had laundry we threw in the wash on arrival. But then noticed it was filled with dirty stagnant water that wouldn't drain. immediately called office & were told oh yeah we forgot to tell you it's broken & I would have to wring them out myself and use a laundromat. Then prepping dinner with guests i discover the mixer didn't work and we had to go buy one. my dog stepped on a screw left from the new floors that were put in . The ceiling upstairs leaked in the bed, tub, & shower in the master as well as rain pouring in the window in the living room all over the floor & our things. so the maintenance guy comes to.look, taking to moldy blind & says there's no roof tiles. it was one thing after another & the office offered a credit of $50. I called them multiple times & they wouldn't return our calls I will NEVER use this company again. This home had no business being rented in that condition

They took over the management of Pawleys Island Pier Condos this year, 40% price increase over the last 5 years I have stayed there during offseason.....people stop buying when price exceeds value, they accomplished that this year unfortunately

My wife and I have visited Litchfield by the Sea since the 1970s. What keeps us coming back is the environment rather than the living accommodations. We love the fact that LBTS is gated. And once inside the gate, the grounds are the same, year-after-year – stunningly beautiful and maintained. We come in the off-season and it’s so private and pleasant. We also love the covered parking, as I am a car nut. Sadly, probably most of the rental accommodations have not kept pace with the grounds. As to Hamilton 503, I can only offer you our personal experience and judgments. Upon first entering the unit, we found the oceanfront view unparalleled. In the unit itself, the color scheme for the walls was pleasant and easy to live with. Much of the flooring was a very nice light wood or wood-like substance. The furnishings were mostly adequate, in number. And the Internet reception was 5-out-of-5, after we figured a way to access it. We arrived late Saturday and by the time we had set up our laptop, the realty office had closed and the password we were given for the Internet did not work. The phone message said, for Internet problems, please call back on Monday. Eventually, after fiddling with this and that, I noticed a computer message that said, “try pressing the button on the router.” Amazingly, that worked, and we were on the Internet without ever signing in. Go figure. None of the toilets were cleaned; one had feces and toilet paper in it. Monday, I reported that to the realtor. The lady said the toilets’ condition was unacceptable. Since we were too far from home to return, we cleaned the toilets ourselves. Oh, and the bathroom carpets looked diseased. Unpacking was challenging because there were about four coat hangers -- for all three bedroom closets. My wife went to a dress shop and explained our predicament and the owner graciously gave her coat hangers. Of course, my wife, a clothes horse, had purchased items there. The condo furnishings appear to be transported from the 1980s. One bed was high enough to cause nosebleed. And all toilets were low enough to please Lilliputians. Every kitchen appliance was old and seriously dated. We went through three coffeemakers before obtaining one from the realtor that worked. There is only one walk-in-type shower. If you stood a coffin on end, you would be presented with almost the same internal dimensions as said shower. Assuming you aren’t a contortionist, not to worry, you soon will be. Moving your body parts in that confined space requires Houdini-scale flexibility. Fortunately, we humans are adaptable creatures. Overall, the entire unit was grungy and grimy. Caked dirt, mold, mildew, rust, chipped paint, broken parts – all exceedingly in evidence. We took pictures. Toward the end of our visit a storm blew in. And get this, the condo owner had the realtor call to tell us to move all the deck furnishings into the condo we had paid three times too much to rent. Chutzpah likewise exceedingly in evidence. We’ll keep returning to LBTS. But to Hamilton 503, what’s your guess?

This place was a diamond in the ruff!! If your looking for a nice location not to far from the hustle yet far enough to enjoy the piece and quiet , this is the place you wanna be. Have children ... no worries this place has an entire kids play section pools and more! The beach is a few short steps away and if your luck enough to book early you will have an ocean view! This resort has turned into our annual family trip. Loved it so much we have scheduled our family reunion here.

Don’t stay at Litchfield Retreat 503 - dirty, badly stained living room and master bedroom drapes - windows had leaked - wonder if mold present, sand on kitchen floor first day, dry dirt puddle under kitchen sink, no tvs worked until supposedly cable got fixed day before we left, found some live roaches - couldn’t have it sprayed safely with toddler running around, old living room furniture with some tears in leather, refrigerator had rust and permanent dirt stains on door. One positive thing - pool was very clean and fun to use. I heard other units are beautiful. We just weren’t lucky. Got a call from realty office requesting we return rubber arm bands - had thrown them away given possible covid contamination. Told me I’d be charged - said they would sterilize them.Did’t believe them - doubt unit was inspected prior to our arrival - given no working tvs and dirt.
